AliceOrval is stridently trying to bring back the old traditions strongly favoring phyical fitness, and discriminating against VariantHumans. She gets measured opposition from her hated enemy BelindaOrval, who seems like she is trying to ignore Alice.
The members of House Orval live in a giant palace. The staff are all ranked, with the OrvalGreaterStaff being rude, arrogant and borderline mean. They regularly sneer at Belinda, and try to menace BelindasHelpers.
The lesser staff, with drab uniforms, are not encouraged to show their identities, and are crushed underfoot metaphorically. They have lots of information if they are asked nicely, their MinorCompulsionToKeepOrder is broken, and they are assured a new job.
